Exploring the Lovatnet area offers a multitude of activities and attractions. Here are nine ideas on how to spend your time when visiting:

1. Take a guided tour to witness the stunning Kjenndalsbreen Glacier. This magnificent ice formation descends from the Jostedalsbreen ice cap. Marvel at the blue hues and towering ice walls.

2. Challenge yourself with a thrilling climb on the Via Ferrata Loen, an adrenaline-pumping mountain route equipped with cables and ladders. Enjoy stunning views as you ascend towards the sky.

3. Experience the Loen Skylift, an aerial cable car that ascends to Mount Hoven. From the summit, revel in panoramic views of the fjords, mountains, and surrounding landscapes.

Getting to Lovatnet and Geiranger

By air:

To embark on a journey to the captivating Lovatnet, travelers typically fly into Bergen Airport, or Ålesund Airport Vigra.

By car from Bergen:

A picturesque drive northbound along the E39 highway takes you through charming Norwegian villages and stunning fjord landscapes. Expect to use 5 hours on the drive.

By car from Ålesund Airport Vigra: follow E39 southbound. The drive will take about three hours. Consider taking detours to explore nearby attractions. The beautiful Hjørundfjord and the charming village of Hellesylt are worthwhile stops that add an extra layer of discovery to your adventure. An alternative and highly recommended route is to take the ferry from Hellesylt to Geiranger. This maritime passage treats travelers to an up-close encounter with the dramatic fjord landscapes, including the iconic Seven Sisters Waterfall.
