Based on the latest Cirium On-Time Performance Review 2025, which analysed more than 4.4 million flights worldwide, here are the top ten airlines you should consider booking with – and the top ten major airports you may want to fly to or from – if on-time performance is high on your travel wish list.

  1. Aeromexico

On-time arrivals: 90.02%

The clear global winner. Aeromexico tops the list with an impressive combination of punctual arrivals and an almost perfect completion factor, proving reliability even across a complex network.


  1. Saudia

On-time arrivals: 86.53%

A strong second place for Saudi Arabia’s flag carrier, which continues to benefit from major investments in operations and fleet renewal.


  1. SAS

On-time arrivals: 86.09%

Scandinavian Airlines stands out as Europe’s most punctual airline in the ranking – good news for travellers flying in and out of the Nordic region.


  1. Azul

On-time arrivals: 85.18%

Brazil’s Azul combines a large domestic network with solid operational discipline, earning it a top-four global position.


  1. Qatar Airways

On-time arrivals: 84.42%

Known for service and connectivity, Qatar Airways also delivers strong punctuality across its long-haul-heavy network.


  1. Iberia

On-time arrivals: 83.52%

Spain’s national airline performs well despite operating from some of Europe’s busiest hubs.


  1. LATAM Airlines

On-time arrivals: 82.40%

Operating across South America, LATAM proves that scale doesn’t have to come at the expense of punctuality.


  1. Avianca

On-time arrivals: 81.73%

A solid performer in a region often challenged by weather and infrastructure constraints.


  1. Turkish Airlines

On-time arrivals: 81.41%

Despite operating one of the world’s largest route networks, Turkish Airlines still makes the global top ten.


10. Delta Air Lines

On-time arrivals: 80.90%

Delta rounds out the list, combining high punctuality with by far the largest number of tracked flights.

For airports, Cirium ranks performance by on-time departures, a key indicator for smooth operations and fewer delays down the line.


  1. Santiago Arturo Merino Benítez International Airport (SCL) – Chile

On-time departures: 87.04%

Located in Santiago, Chile’s main international gateway, tops the global ranking, proving that efficiency and long-haul connectivity can go hand in hand.


  1. King Khalid International Airport (RUH) – Saudi Arabia

On-time departures: 86.81%

Serving Riyadh, the airport benefits from major investments in infrastructure and operational systems.


  1. Benito Juárez International Airport (MEX) – Mexico

On-time departures: 86.55%

Mexico City’s main airport delivers impressive punctuality despite operating at high capacity year-round.


  1. Daniel K. Inouye International Airport (HNL) – United States (Hawaii)

On-time departures: 86.51%

Honolulu’s airport combines heavy leisure traffic with consistently strong operational performance.


  1. Oslo Airport Gardermoen (OSL) – Norway

On-time departures: 86.00%

Norway’s main international hub stands out globally, reinforcing Gardermoen’s reputation as one of Europe’s most efficiently run airports.


  1. Jorge Chávez International Airport (LIM) – Peru

On-time departures: 85.54%

Serving Lima, this is South America’s second airport in the global top ten.


  1. Salt Lake City International Airport (SLC) – United States

On-time departures: 85.04%

A key hub in the western US, known for smooth operations and relatively short taxi times.


  1. Copenhagen Airport (CPH) – Denmark

On-time departures: 84.72%

Scandinavia’s largest airport continues to perform strongly, despite heavy international traffic.


  1. Hamad International Airport (DOH) – Qatar

On-time departures: 84.70%

Doha’s flagship airport combines global hub status with high operational precision.


  1. Stockholm Arlanda Airport (ARN) – Sweden

On-time departures: 83.59%

Sweden’s main international airport completes the top ten, making Scandinavia one of the best-represented regions in the ranking.
