Val Thorens, the snow-sure crown jewel of Les Trois Vallées, has once again been named World’s Best Ski Resort 2025 by the World Ski Awards, reaffirming its dominance as Europe’s premier alpine destination and a global benchmark for winter sports luxury.

-Val Thorens is setting the global standard for lift infrastructure, resort facilities and slopeside accommodation, the World Ski Awards stated.

Set in France’s Savoie region, at 2300 meters above sea level, Val Thorens is an all-in-one alpine village with peaks well above 3000 meters. Its location, at the heart of Les Trois Vallées, gives access to over 600 kilometres of pistes, making it part of the largest connected ski area in the world. Modern lifts, wide glacier runs, and snow well into May make it a magnet for both serious skiers and cosmopolitan travellers seeking a seamless mix of sport and style.

“Val Thorens has long understood that a mountain resort must offer more than just skiing — it’s about creating a complete lifestyle,” said Rapson.

Val Thorens’ local prestige also grew as Hôtel Le Pashmina — the resort’s signature five-star retreat — won World’s Best Ski Boutique Hotel 2025.
