Thanks to over 40 centimetres of fresh snow blanketing the Swiss resort’s peaks, the 2025/2026 ski season will begin this Saturday, 1st of November, with the opening of the Lac des Vaux sector.

The Attelas–Ruinettes sector may also open soon, depending on conditions.

Throughout November, skiing will be available on weekends only, with daily operations resuming on November 29th. To celebrate the early start, a complimentary coffee and croissant will be available to the first skiers on the slopes this Saturday morning. And to sweeten the deal further, a 20% discount will be applied to the 1-day Verbier sector ski pass every weekend in November.

The highlight of the season’s opening festivities will follow a few weeks later, when the much-loved Opening Session returns on Saturday, the 6th of December. This festive event invites visitors to hit the slopes dressed as St. Nicholas — and those who register in advance can ski all day for just CHF 5, with all proceeds going to charity.

To make the celebration even more accessible, a free train service will run directly from Geneva to Le Châble, connecting key towns along Lake Geneva. Seats are limited, and registration will open on the Verbier 4 Vallées website in November.
